Sarah Jarjour, B.COMM, CHS

Insurance Advisor & Group Benefits Specialist

Sarah is an independent insurance advisor that has found passion and pride in the work she does. Sarah is most passionate about the relationships she builds with the people and businesses that she works with. She takes pride in her work by ensuring there is proper insurance planning in place for her clients to protect them, their loved ones, their business, and their business partners should life take an unexpected turn.

Sarah is currently licensed in Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan and Ontario. Sarah has her Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University, is a member of Advocis, and has her CHS® Designation (Chartered Health Insurance Specialist). She is a firm believer in continuous education in order to further establish herself as an insurance professional and to refine her depth of knowledge in the ever-evolving insurance industry to better advise and service her clients.

Before joining the insurance industry, Sarah enjoyed 6 years of diverse human resources management experience, specializing primarily in Strategic HR and Talent Management in mid- to large-sized organizations. Her roles were focused on providing guidance and leadership to senior business leaders in regard to employee engagement and culture, workforce planning, performance management, employee development, change management, employee retention, and overall talent management. Sarah‘s previous experiences have given her the opportunity to see firsthand how quickly people’s lives can change when the unexpected happens, and she saw the value of advice and proper insurance planning making those circumstances more manageable.

Afif (A.J.) Jawad, BA, MBA, CIM ®

Insurance Advisor & Group Benefits Specialist

As a co-founder of insurme and Director, A.J. is primarily focused on the vision, strategy, and direction insurme is headed. His leadership focuses on developing relationships with key strategic partners and businesses, recruiting top talent to join the insurme team, and sourcing out innovative technologies to continuously improve processes. He continues to elevate the business in order to better serve his clients.

A.J. founded insurme in 2012, and is now insurance licensed in AB, BC, ON, and SK. In addition, with 20 years of experience as a Financial Advisor and more recently a Portfolio Manager at YOURWEALTH Advisory, A.J. has been helping individuals, families, and businesses achieve their financial planning goals. This, in combination with his extensive educational background and over 10 years of experience working with Canada Revenue Agency, proves to be instrumental in achieving long-term growth and success for his clients by managing risks first through proper insurance planning and managing returns second through holistic financial planning.

Rowaida Jawad, BS

Operations Manager

As a co-founder and Director, Rowaida is focused on the management of business operations including team development, client relations, internal and external communications, event planning, and streamlining business operations.

Rowaida has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology and a Certificate of Aptitude in Sociology from the Lebanese University. She was a Sociology teacher in Lebanon before moving to Canada in 2004 and changing career paths into the Finance world. Since 2004, Rowaida has been working in the Financial Industry as an Operations Manager for a boutique Wealth Management firm, YOURWEALTH Advisory, and also has experience as a Mortgage Consultant for five years.

Mariana Mero

Executive Assistant

Mariana joined the insurme team in January 2020 as Administrative Assistant. Working collaboratively within the insurme team, Mariana is focused on providing exceptional service to insurme clients, supporting the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the business, and facilitating all aspects of internal and external communications.

Mariana has a Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification, is a member of the Canadian Payroll Association, and has a Certificate of Human Resources Management from Mount Royal University in Calgary, AB. Although Mariana really enjoyed the many aspects of Payroll and HR, she decided to move her career toward the Insurance industry, and her passion for it is growing daily. In addition to her Payroll and HR experience, Mariana brings exceptional customer service, communication, and administrative skills. She works diligently to ensure goals are met and daily operations run smoothly.
